JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 22-09-2017 The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Islampur P.S. Case No. 64 of 2017, registered for offences punishable under Sections 341, 342, 323, 504, 307, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner and other accused persons is of assault to the informant and against this petitioner that he assaulted the informant by means of garasa. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that only general and omnibus allegation has been levelled against the petitioner and other accused persons and he has been in judicial custody since 24.07.2017.

Learned counsel for the State as well as learned counsel for the informant, they have opposed the prayer for bail and

Having heard both sides, considering the fact and circumstances of the case and nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail, his application for regular bail is, accordingly, rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the commitment of case and after commitment try to conclude the trial within a period of nine months from the date of commitment. (Vinod Kumar Sinha, J) sunil/- U T
