Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Mojahidpur P.S. Case No. 232 of 2017 registered under Sections 324, 307, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
Accusation in brief is that the petitioner shot at the informant, a twelve years boy.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accusation is that he shot at the informant but the injury is on leg and simple in nature and the petitioner has been in custody since 12.03.2018; whereas the learned counsel for the State submits that there is a specific accusation that the petitioner shot at the informant causing firearm injury and also has several

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, having specific accusation against the petitioner and criminal antecedents, the court is not persuaded to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, so his prayer of bail is rejected and the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same in nine months.
However, if the trial is not concluded within the stipulated period, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer of bail.
