1. All these applications have been preferred by the original writ petitioners for initiation of the proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act for non-compliance of the order passed by the Full Bench of this Court in the case of Lalit Naryan Mithila University Versus Ashok Kumar Jha & Ors. reported in 2010 (2) PLJR (HC) 650, decided on 11.03.2010.

At the outset, it is required to be noted that against the order passed by the Full Bench of this Court, the writ petitioners approached the Hon'ble Supreme Court and now, the Hon'ble Supreme Court, in the recent decision dated 31.08.2017, in the case of Krishna Nand Yadav & Ors. Versus Magadh University & Ors. have disposed of the appeals, being Civil Appeal No.2703 of 2017 and other allied Civil Appeals, and therefore, as such the order passed by the Full Bench of this
47/48 Court, of which non-compliance is alleged, has merged with the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respective parties, including learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, have stated at the Bar that in view of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Krishna Nand Yadav (supra), as such the present applications have become infructuous and, in fact, some of the writ petitioners have also been given some benefits on the basis of the report of the Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. B. Sinha. 3.1. It is also reported that even subsequently for non-compliance of the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Krishna Nand Yadav (supra), one contempt petition is preferred, being Contempt Petition No.832 of 2018, and the same is pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
4. Therefore, there is a consensus between the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties to dispose of the present applications as having been infructuous in view of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Krishna Nand Yadav (supra).

5. In view of the above, all these applications stand disposed of as having become infructuous in view of the subsequent decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Krishna Nand Yadav (supra).
