The petitioners being the parents of the husband of the informant are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. The marriage of the informant was solemnized with the son of the petitioners, namely, Pradeep Kumar Singh but thereafter torture was inflicted for nonfulfillment of further demand of dowry of rupees ten thousand. It is alleged that the petitioners used to not receive the telephone call made by the informant.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.28361 of 2016 (2) dt.12-07-2016 2/2 It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the thrust of accusation is against the husband of the informant and the petitioners claim to be residing separately from the husband of the informant.
Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioners be released on anticipatory bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of twelve weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patna in connection with Patna Mahila P.S. Case No. 17 of 2016, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
