The petitioners have filed the instant application for grant of regular bail in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case no. 295 of 2020 (G.R. no. 2021 of 2020) registered under sections 307, 147, 148, 149, 269, 270, 271, 341, 323, 332, 353, 427 and 431 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per allegation in the FIR, as a result of death of a girl child in a road accident, it is stated that hue and cry was raised by the 23 named accused persons including the petitioners herein and 150 other unknown persons. It is stated that in the protest/chaos, the police personnel received injuries

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the allegations are general and omnibus in nature. The petitioners, who have no criminal antecedent, have been falsely implicated in the case at the instance of the local people. They are in custody since 7.7.2020 and chargesheet has been submitted in the case.

The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the allegations which are general and omnibus in nature together with the custody of the petitioners since 7.7.2020, the Court is inclined to enlarge them on bail. The above named petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case no. 295 of 2020 (G.R. no. 2021 of 2020) on each of them furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-VI, Araria.
