1. Heard Mr. Anil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Suman Kuamri Singh, learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dumra P. S. Case No. 593 of 2024, dated 22.12.2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 20(b)II(B) of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. The main submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel are that as per the allegation only 11 grms of smack like material is said to have been recovered from the petitioner's possession, which falls under the category of intermediate quantity and the same is slightly more than small quantity, the petitioner is an 18 year old young person having fair and clean antecedent. It is further submitted that one co-accused namely, Surjeet Kumar Barnala @ Maya @ Sujeet Kumar Barnala

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.46788 of 2025(2) dt.01-08-2025 2/2 carrying similar nature of allegation from whose possession, 22 grams of smack like material is alleged to have been recovered, has been granted bail by a co-ordinate bench of this court vide order dated 30.04.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 23677 of 2025. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner has been languishing in jail since 22.12.2024 and against him the investigation has been completed.

4. Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the bail prayer of the petitioner.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel, mainly petitioner's young age and his custody period as well as the quantity of the alleged contraband which is said to have been recovered from his possession and completion of investigation against him, this court is inclined to release him on bail. Accordingly, let the petitioner namedabove, be enlarged on bail in connection with Dumra P. S. Case No. 593 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court concerned.
