2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 354(D), 504, 506 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, this petitioner was studying with the daughter of informant and thereafter, both used to talk with each other. It is further alleged that this petitioner had made a call and misbehaved with informant's daughter and when she disconnected the call, this petitioner came to the informant's office and started demanding Rs. 15 lacs by way of extortion with a threatening that if his demand is not fulfilled, he would kidnap the daughter of informant.

4. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner and daughter of informant were known to each other since class seven and they wanted to marry, but it was not acceptable to informant. It is further submitted that since petitioner and daughter of informant were known to each other for so long time, there was no reason or occasion for the petitioner to threaten and demand ransom from the informant. From perusal of F.I.R., it is apparent that daughter of informant herself has admitted that she used to talk with petitioner on mobile phone. Daughter of informant and petitioner are major. Petitioner has got clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel for the informant vehemently opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is allowed. Let the above named petitioner, in the event of arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M., Danapur, District - Patna in connection with Danapur P.S. Case No. 1286 of 2022, subject to condition as laid down
