The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 4(A) of 2019, arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 3 of 2019 dated 11.01.2019 instituted for the offences under Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The petitioner is alleged to have been caught red-handed taking bribe money of rupees eighty thousands.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.40400 of 2019(3) dt.18-09-2019 2/2 Mr. Ajay Thakur, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that from a bare look at the trap memorandum, it would appear that an element of force has been used by the Vigilance Department. According to him, the petitioner has been trapped neither in his home nor in his office.

In any view of the matter, taking into account the period of custody of the petitioner which is from 12.01.2019, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousands) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Patna-I in connection with Special Case No. 4(A) of 2019, arising out of Vigilance P.S.
