Annexure- 4 indicates the circumstances under which such a punishment came to visit the petitioner. The petitioner was lucky that he got away lightly by imposition of one black mark, which ultimately did not come in his way of promotion as Dy.S.P. He has superannuated years ago and object and purpose for challenging the order of punishment is now to get some right of retrospective promotion etc. These are far fetched kind of expectation to have when the authorities have been liberal enough to regularize his long absence as well as condone his

Writ has no merit. It is dismissed.
