2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief(s):

"(i) to act upon the Award No. 37 (Land Acquisition Case No. 5/2006-2007) communicated through the Notice No. 467 dated 28.08.2007.

(ii) and further to pay the appropriate compensation, on the new and prevailing rates along with the appropriate interest ; for the land of the Petitioner; which has been utilized / acquired for the Railway Project (for the construction of an under-pass)."

3. After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he shall be presenting his fresh representation alongwith supporting document before the District Magistrate, Gopalganj within a period four weeks.

4. Learned State counsel submits that if such petitioner is preferred, it will be taken to its logical conclusion at an earliest.

5. In that background, the writ petition is disposed of allowing the petitioner to approach the concerned respondent, the District Magistrate, Gopalganj in next four weeks and if such petition alongwith supporting documents are filed, the aforesaid respondent shall be taking up the matter and it is expected that a reasoned order is passed at an earliest.
