1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioners have preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending their arrest in connection with Majhaulia P.S. Case no.37 of 2025, registered under sections 103(1), 80 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states that his daughter was married to the son of petitioner nos.1 and 2 in the year 2016. The accused persons including the petitioners herein tortured her for non-fulfillment of the demand
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41360 of 2025(3) dt.15-10-2025 2/3 of dowry by way of a motorcycle. They conspired and killed her on 12.1.2025. On information having been received, the informant states that he went to his daughter's place where the postmortem was conducted and the cremation took place.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the father-in-law, mother-in-law and brothers-inlaw of the deceased. The allegations levelled in the F.I.R. are false and concocted. It is for this reason that while the occurrence is said to have taken place on 12.1.2025, postmortem examination took place on 13.1.2025, information was given to the police and the F.I.R. was registered only on 16.1.2025. The cause of death in the postmortem report is asphyxia as a result of hanging. The husband of the deceased is in custody since 13.2.2025. The petitioners have no criminal antecedent.
5. The application for anticipatory bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations in the F.I.R., the material that has transpired in course of investigation, the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the relationship of the petitioners with the deceased, their not having any criminal antecedent and the husband of the deceased
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41360 of 2025(3) dt.15-10-2025 3/3 being in custody, in the fact of the case it is directed that all the four petitioners above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with Majhaulia P.S. Case no.37 of 2025 on each of them furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran.
