The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, it is stated by the informant that as a result of the strained relationship between her and her father-in-law, she stays in her naihar (parent's place) along with her daughter. The petitioner and others took away her daughter for the purpose of agricultural work and soon thereafter she received information that she had been killed by them.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case. The informant happens to be daughter-in-law of the petitioner while

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.51427 of 2021(3) dt.30-03-2022 2/2 the deceased happens to be his grand daughter. No material has transpired to connect the petitioner with the alleged crime. In fact the material that has transpired in course of investigation is otherwise. The petitioner has no motive to commit the alleged crime. He is in custody since 17.3.2021 and investigation in the case is complete.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case including the petitioner who happens to be the 78 year old grand father of the deceased having remained in custody for 1 year and charge sheet having been submitted in the case, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Karai Parsurai P.S. Case no. 141 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hilsa, Nalanda.
