This is an application for bail in connection with Begusarai Rail P.S. Case No. 09 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20 & 22 of N.D.P.S. Act. Allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of 17.5 kg. of ganja from the possession of the petitioner. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner being a lady has falsely been implicated in this case and nothing has been recovered from her possession and she is in custody since 23.4.2017.
Heard learned APP also.
Having heard both sides and in view of recovery of huge quantity of ganja, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial on
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39412 of 2017 (3) dt.12-09-2017 2/2 regular basis and try to conclude it within nine months. At the same time, Superintendent of Police concerned is directed to ensure the presence of witnesses in court.
