Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned APP for the State through video conferencing. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 28.02.2020, passed in Cr.Misc. No. 2859 of 2020, by which the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail.

It is submitted that due to Covid-19 pandemic, the petitioner could not surrender in the court below and furnish the bail bond within the stipulated time.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.53622 of 2021(2) dt.24-06-2022 2/2 For the reasons disclosed in the application, it is allowed and the time granted by order dated 28.02.2020, passed in Cr.Misc. No. 2859 of 2020 for surrender of the petitioner and furnishing bail bond is extended by four weeks from today, subject to deposit of Rs. 5,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority. At the time of surrender, the petitioner shall furnish the receipt showing deposit of Rs. 5,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority.

Office shall ensure that all the defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time provided in para 1 hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
