2. This application has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to grant arms license to the petitioner by transfering the Arms license on the name of the petitioner which has earlier been granted in favour of his grandfather.

3. The District Magistrate, Patna is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license within four weeks from the date of receipt/communication of a copy of this order keeping the heirloom policy.

4. It is made clear, that disposal does not mean dismissal. The District Magistrate, Patna will apply his mind

Patna High Court CWJC No.10233 of 2023(2) dt.30-11-2023 2/2 and if any deficit is found in the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license, the petitioner shall be informant about the same for removing the defects and after removal of the defects the application be considered in accordance with law.
