2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Jogbani P.S. Case No. 51 of 2025, registered for the offence under Sections 21 and 22 of the N.D.P.S.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is alleged to have been involved in selling and smuggling of narcotics substances.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. The name of the petitioner has figured in this case by the confessional statement of co-accused Chandan Sahni. The coaccused Chandan Sahni from whose possession the alleged recovery has been made, has been granted bail by this Court and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41427 of 2026(2) dt.25-06-2026 2/3 the case of the present petitioner stands on similar footings. The petitioner is in custody since 23.03.2026.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this application for regular bail is allowed.

7. Accordingly, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court below where the case is pending/successor Court in connection with Jogbani P.S. Case No. 51 of 2025, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S. with further conditions that:- (i) The petitioner will mark his attendance at the Jogbani Police Station on every Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bonds of the petitioner.

(ii) The petitioner shall desist himself from committing any crime in the future and shall not indulge in any fresh case, failing which, the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bonds of the petitioner.

8. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
