2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 304B, 302/34of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the D.P. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner along with other co-accused persons are said to have killed the daughter of the informant due to non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence and has falsely been implicated in this case. He submits that the petitioner is the husband of the deceased. He further submits

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.45151 of 2024(3) dt.06-09-2024 2/2 that no independent witnesses have supported the prosecution case. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 31.05.2023. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent as mentioned in para3 of this application.

5. Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail. He submits that the marriage of informant's daughter was solemnized with the petitioner on 15.05.2023 and the deceased died on 29.05.2023, i.e. within 14 days of marriage.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the daughter of the informant died within 14 days of marriage, the Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer of regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected in connection with G.B. Nagar P.S. Case No. 187 of 2023.
