The petitioner has questioned the order dated 25.10.2010 passed by the District Magistrate, Buxar -cumLicensing Officer under the Arms Act, 1959 whereby the arms licence of the petitioner bearing Licence No.765 of 2006 in respect of N.P. Bore Pistol and Licence No.454 of 2005 in respect of N.P. Bore Rifle stand suspended and the petitioner has been directed to file show cause against the proposed cancellation of the licences.

The grievance of the petitioner is that although a show cause notice was issued to him as back as on 25.10.2010 and the petitioner has also filed his show cause reply in 2010

Patna High Court CWJC No.1005 of 2015 (2) dt.08-04-2015 itself but the order-sheet of Arms Case No.429 of 2010 would show that the matter remains pending.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into consideration that the matter is pending since last five years, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate- cum- Licensing Officer, Buxar to dispose of Arms Case No.429 of 2010 in accordance with law and after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
