2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for quashing letter no. PVIII-04/2017-52-Estt.-II dated 17.11.2018 issued under the signature of the Commandant, 52 Battalion, Central Reserve

Patna High Court CWJC No.9966 of 2024(2) dt.01-07-2024 2/3 Police Force, P.D.C. Colony, Kistwar, Jammu and Kashmir by which the petitioner has been dismissed from service due to conviction in a criminal case and further to quash the letter no. P.XII.1/2019-Estt-1 dated 21.05.2018 passed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Orissa Sector, Central Reserve Police Force, Range Headquarter, Bhubneshwar by which the Appeal of the petitioner was also rejected. Subsequently, vide judgement dated 04.03.2024 passed in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 937 of 2017, the petitioner has been acquitted of the criminal charges. Thereafter, the petitioner filed representation dated 15.03.2024 before respondent No. 2, namely, the Inspector General of Police, Orissa Sector, CRPF Group Centre, Bhubneshwar for his reinstatement in service. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that till date no decision has been taken on the representation of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

Learned counsel for the respondent-Union of India submits that a direction may be issued upon respondent No.2, namely, the Inspector General of Police, Orissa Sector, CRPF Group Centre, Bhubneshwar to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner with a reasoned and speaking order within a period of 90 days in accordance with

Patna High Court CWJC No.9966 of 2024(2) dt.01-07-2024 3/3 law.

4. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
