JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-10-2015 The petitioner states that he constructed a new house in Islampur, Nalanda. In spite of repeated request, the electric connection was not provided to him and as such he had to rely upon the generator.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the authorities of the Board raided his premises on 13.2.2013 and made a false allegation that he was drawing electricity illegally and a sum of Rs.71,677/- was raised by way of provisional assessment. The petitioner states that he has paid half of this amount pursuant to the order passed in his Anticipatory Bail application. The petitioner has also filed his objection.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Assessing authority to dispose of the objection of the petitioner in accordance with law after providing an opportunity of hearing to
