2. The instant application for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioners apprehending their arrest in connection with Bahera P.S. Case no. 78 of 2025 instituted for the offence under Sections 3 (5) and 61 (2) of the BNS.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the daughter of the informant, namely, Arya Kumari was married to one Mukund Jha on 26.05.2022. It is further alleged that she was subjected to cruelty on account of demand of Rs. 20 lakhs and non-fulfilment thereof further allegation is that on 20.02.2025, Mukund Jha informed the informant that his daughter has died.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in connection with the present case. It is further submitted that the husband of the deceased is in custody. Petitioners are father-inlaw and mother-in-law of the deceased. It is further submitted that they are not present at the house at the time of occurrence rather they have gone to Kumbh Mela. It is also submitted that the petitioners are living separately from the husband of the deceased. The main thrust of allegation is against the husband, Mukund Jha.

5. Learned counsel for the Informant opposed the prayer of bail of the petitioners stating that in post-mortem report, it was found that throat of the deceased was cut.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case as stated above, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. The petitioners are directed to surrender in the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and in the event of their arrest or surrender in connection with Bahera P.S. Case no. 78 of 2025, they will be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.40810 of 2025(2) dt.25-07-2025 3/3 Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ACJM, Benipur, Darbhanga, subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482(2) of the BNSS.
