The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No.14 of 2020 for offences under Section 30 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners prays and is granted permission to withdraw the anticipatory bail application on behalf of the petitioner no.2, namely, Amarjit Kumar.
The bail application on behalf of the petitioner no.2, namely, Amarjit Kumar is dismissed as withdrawn. So far as prayer for anticipatory bail on behalf of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.40382 of 2020(2) dt.28-10-2021 2/2 petitioner no.1, namely, Ranjeet Kumar @ Ranjit Yadav is concerned, learned counsel submits that the petitioner is serving in Indo-Tibetan Border Police which is apparent from Annexure-2.
In the circumstances, let petitioner no.1, namely, Ranjeet Kumar @ Ranjit Yadav, in the event of his arrest or surrender within four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of 4th Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (Excise), Bhojpur at Ara in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No.14 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
