Grievance of the petitioner is that though he had applied for grant of licence for DBBL gun in the year 2008, no decision has been taken by the licensing authority till date though police report has already been received by the authority concerned. Having regards to the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate - cum - licensing authority, Lakhisarai to take a final decision in the matter on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, if the same has not
