The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is refusal on the part of the Central Board of Secondary Education in correction of date of birth. Mr. Vinay Krishna Tripathi, learned counsel for the CBSE submits that the CBSE has acted upon the record made available by the school. He further submits that for correction, the petitioner has not approached the Board within time. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the registration form, the date of birth of the petitioner was shown

Patna High Court CWJC No.19040 of 2018(6) dt.13-09-2019 2/2 as 09.12.1995 and as such the kind of correction, the petitioner is seeking the date of birth is in tune of initial entry in the registration form.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the CBSE to condone the delay and accept the application of the petitioner for correction of date of birth in the light of entry made in the registration form, which is available with the CBSE. Necessary corrective measures may be taken by the CBSE at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
