2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sessions Trial No.23 of 2024 arising out of Lakhisarai P.S. Case No. 145 of 2023 lodged on 27.02.2023, for the offence punishable under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code and later on sections 395, 412 & 120(B) of the I.P.C as well as sections 25(1-B)a & 26 of the Arms Act has been added, pending in the Court of Additional District & Sessions Judge-III, Lakhisarai.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the regular bail application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 15.05.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 25304 of 2024 with liberty granted to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail one year from the order dated i.e. 15.05.2024 and the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.43228 of 2025(3) dt.08-08-2025 2/2 trial court was directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as soon as possible. Counsel submits that from the earlier rejection order dated i.e. 15.05.2024, more than one year has been lapsed, but the trial has not been concluded. Counsel further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 24.04.2023.

Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that on earlier occasion, report with regard to the present stage of the trial has been called for and from perusal of the said report, it transpires that out of 7 charge-sheet witnesses, examination of 4 witnesses has been completed and the trial court has stated that expected time to conclude the trial is about six months.
5. In this view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
6. The Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within six months.
