The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with P.R. Case No.73 of 2018 (Special Case No.6222 of 2018) registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged that 100 litres of country made liquor was recovered from a maruti car which was being run by the petitioner.

It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 07.07.2018 having no criminal antecedent. The police party has implicated this petitioner as he refused to witness the seizure of wine recovered from another person.

The learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the submission.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55926 of 2018 (3) dt.28-09-2018 2/2 the prayer of bail is allowed. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise, Patna in connection with P.R. Case 73 of 2018 (Special Case No.6222 of 2018).
