The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case under Section 307 and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the informant with Dabiya, a sharp-edged weapon. The first blow was hit on the back of the informant and the second blow was warded off by the hand causing injuries in the fingers of the informant. Of course, the injuries are opined to be simple in nature but the petitioner gave repeated blows with Dabiya and corresponding injuries were caused.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail in Bidupur P.S. Case No. 179/2015. Accordingly, the same is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J) Dilip/- U T
