In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Medni Chowki P.S. Case No. 86 of 2018 registered for offence punishable under sections 326, 307 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

Allegation has been made against the petitioner to have caused injury to the victim Mridula Devi in her ankle. The parties have entered into compromise, which is nothing but tampering with the evidence and section 307 I.P.C. is not compoundable. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly his prayer for bail is rejected.
