The petitioner is facing trial from November, 2021 before the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-V, Sitamarhi, arising out of Dumra P.S. Case No. 405 of 2020 under sections 304(B) and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The prosecution case, as alleged in the FIR, is that the informant's daughter was married to the petitioner herein on 7.7.2019 but from day one they were demanding one lakh rupee and a motorcycle.

It is further alleged that on 10th December, 2020, the petitioner with the help of his family members poured kerosene oil and put the lady on flame. She died of severe injuries and the mortal remains were immediately consigned to flame without

The informant came to know about it, rushed to the place within three hours but by that time everything was over. Considering the gravity of the offence that has been committed by the petitioner, who was supposed to protect the lady being her husband; I am not inclined to grant any relief to him and the bail application as such is rejected.
