JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 18-04-2018 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner, already in custody since 17.5.2017, seeks bail in Rajiv Nagar PS Case No. 117 of 2017 registered under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC.
The allegation in brief is that the deceased, who was second wife of the petitioner, was killed.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no allegation of making demand of dowry and she committed suicide as she was asking the petitioner not to keep child from the first wife. Whereas learned Counsel for the State submits that the dead body was found in the house of the petitioner and the post mortem report indicates that she was strangulated.
Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is presently rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within a period of one year. Snkumar/- (Arun Kumar, J) U T
