2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per prosecution case, complainant was married to this petitioner on 16.11.2016. Thereafter, it is alleged that all the named accused persons including this petitioner tortured and harassed complainant and ousted her from the matrimonial house.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.45715 of 2024(4) dt.23-06-2025 2/2 dispute between the parties has already been resolved through the process of mediation vide Mediator's Report dated 14.05.2025 and terms of settlement mutually agreed upon by the parties is attached with the Mediator's Report kept at Flag 'A'.
5. Learned counsel for the O.P. No. 2 does not dispute the contention made on behalf of the petitioner.
6. In view of the fact that dispute between the parties has been resolved, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jehanabad in connection with Complaint Case No. 149 of 2023, subject to condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
