The petitioner was an applicant for issue of passport. Vide order dated 23.09.2011, he was advised to apply afresh owing to change in the entire system adopted for grant of passport. It further appears from Annexure-18 that the matter was agitated before the Directorate of Public Grievance, (Cabinet Secretariat), Government of India, whereon he was communicated vide letter dated 12.06.2013 that the petitioner shall have to apply afresh for issue of passport in the new system.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1192 of 2014 (2) dt.25-07-2016 2/2 Having appreciated the reasons spelt out in the said communication dated 12.06.2013, Mr. Tiwari states that the petitioner shall apply afresh for issue of passport. If he does so, the respondent-Regional Passport Officer, Patna shall consider/examine his application and take appropriate decision without unnecessary delay. The writ application is disposed of.
