JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 11-08-2022 Though the present writ petition has been filed for grant of wages to the petitioner for the period he was in custody at Central Jail, Buxar and where he had worked as per jail manual, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District Magistrate, Buxar as also the Jail Superintendent, Kendriya Kara, Buxar for payment of the remaining/outstanding amount of wages in terms of the judgment rendered by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of State of Gujarat & Anr. vs. Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat; reported in (1998) 7 SCC 392.

Patna High Court CWJC No.2210 of 2021(2) dt.11-08-2022 2/2 Liberty so sought is granted.

It is needless to state that in case the petitioner files appropriate petition before the respondents no. 5 & 6 within a period of four weeks from today, needful decision shall be taken thereon within a period of eight weeks, thereafter. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
