The petitioner is in custody since 27.08.2017 in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147/148/149/341/323/324/325/307/504/506/ of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is case and counter case between the parties. The petitioner is not a named accused in this case. However, after a lapse of nine days, the petitioner's name has surfaced on the statement made by one person who has been named by the petitioner in Annexure-2 which is filed by himself. He submits that on the date of occurrence, the petitioner was already in the hospital in connection with the injury.
