The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Fenhara P.S. Case No. 65 of 2015, registered under Sections 386 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would appear from the written report of informant Harinandan Sahni that ransom of Rs. 5,00,000/- was demanded through mobile No. 8969036150, caller disclosed his name as Manoj Singh of Azad Hind Fouz. As such, petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. In course of investigation, Manoj Singh was apprehended, who disclosed the name of the petitioner as his associate.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.45854 of 2016 (2) dt.13-12-2016 2/2 Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, his prayer for grant of anticipatory bail stands rejected. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the trail Court within six weeks and pray for regular bail, which would be considered by the trial Court in accordance with law without being prejudiced by the order of this Court.
