2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Lalganj P.S. Case No. 411 of 2025, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126, 115(2), 303(2), 109, 329(3), 352, 351(3) and 3(5) of the BNS.
3. Allegedly, the brother of the informant 'Dr. Purishottam Kumar @ Chandan Kumar' owns a clinic and medicine shop, from where the accused persons, including the petitioner, used to demand a ransom. In course of such incidence on 17.08.2025, eight miscreants, including the petitioner, came on four motorcycles at his brother's clinic and demanded extortion money and when the same was resisted, the staff of the informant's brother was brutally assaulted by all of them, due to
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44071 of 2026(2) dt.08-07-2026 2/3 which he sustained serious injuries and fracture on wrist. The miscreants also threatened with dire consequences to the brother of the informant.
4. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that save and except the omnibus nature of allegation, there is no allegation that the petitioner has caused any injury to any person. In fact, on the occasion of Janmashtami, some altercation has taken place and due to which the local people have assembled there and assaulted the staff of the informant's brother. The alleged occurrence took place on 17.08.2025, but the present FIR has been instituted after a delay of three days. It is further contended that the petitioner undertakes that he will fully co-operate in the proceeding of the Court.

On the other hand, learned Advocate for the State opposed the pre-arrest bail application and submits that the petitioner bears two criminal antecedent and there is serious allegation of extortion and demand of rangdari, besides the petitioner along with others have brutally assaulted the staff of the informant's brother, who happens to be doctor, due to which he sustained grievous injury.
6. Having considered the submissions advanced by learned Advocate for the respective parties and taking note of

No.44071 of 2026(2) dt.08-07-2026 3/3 the specific accusation of extortion and demand of rangdari, besides causing assault due to which one person has sustained grievous injury, as also the petitioner bears two criminal antecedent, this Court is not acceded to the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. Accordingly, the same stands rejected.
