2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Katihar Town P.S. Case No. 505 of 2026 registered for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, a total of 3,149 bottles of Codeine Cough Syrup, each containing 100 ml, were recovered from the possession of the petitioner and the coaccused. The petitioner is in custody since 05.05.2026.

4. Considering the huge recovery of codeine cough syrup from the possession of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands

6. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application.
