The dispute involved in the present writ petition is appointment of Head of the Department of the University in the Department of Music.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the matter of rotational headship, the University is required to follow the rule of seniority.
This writ petition was filed in the year 2011. We are in 2018. In view of the time gap this Court is not inclined to pass any positive order. However, the Court expect the University to follow
Patna High Court CWJC No.20251 of 2011 dt.27-06-2018 2/2 the rule of seniority in the matter of appointment of rotational head and if the petitioner on account of seniority has not been made head, steps should be taken by the University to respect the seniority in the matter of appointment of rotational head. Final decision in this regard must be taken by the respondents within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
