2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
3 . It is alleged that 180 liters codeine cough syrup was recovered from the seized car.
4. It is submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case . The name of petitioner transpired during course of investigation . Petitioner is neither owner nor driver of the seized vehicle . No incriminating material has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and he is no way connected with the aforesaid recovery . Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

Considering the fact that aforesaid facts and other circumstances of the case , in the event of arrest/surrender within eight weeks from today, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional session Judge - VII- Cumspecial Judge Excise - II Madhepura in connection with Madhepura Police Station Case No. 173 of 2024 , subject to the conditions laid down under section 482 ( 2 ) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita ( BNSS) , 2023 .
