To issue a writ of Mandamus directing the concerned respondent authorities to consider the name of the petitioner for promotion as well as financial benefits from the year 1997 on the post of permanent Clerk as junior person to the

ii. It is further prayed that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to hold and adjudicate that the petitioner is also entitled for promotion from the date of his junior from the year 1997 on the post of Upper Division Clerk with all consequential benefits."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction be issued to the Inspector General Registration, Government of Bihar, Patna to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of promotion to the post of Upper Division Clerk with effect from the year 1997, instead of the year 2008, w.e.f. which the petitioner has been wrongly granted promotion to the post of Upper Division Clerk.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the

Patna High Court CWJC No.11415 of 2022(3) dt.27-02-2024 3/3 Inspector General Registration, Government of Bihar, Patna, by filing appropriate representation within a period of two weeks from today and in case such a representation is filed, the Inspector General Registration, Government of Bihar, Patna shall consider the same, in accordance with law and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
