Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned APP for the State through video conferencing. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 16.06.2020, passed in Cr.Misc. No. 83940 of 2019, by which the petitioner was granted provisional bail.

It is submitted that due to Covid-19 pandemic and resultant lock down, the petitioner could not surrender in the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.52948 of 2021(2) dt.24-06-2022 2/2 court below and furnish the bail bond within the stipulated time.

For the reasons disclosed in the application, it is allowed and the time granted by order dated 16.06.2020, passed in Cr.Misc. No. 83940 of 2019 for surrender of the petitioner and furnishing bail bond is extended by four weeks from today, subject to deposit of Rs. 5,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority. At the time of surrender, the petitioner shall furnish the receipt showing deposit of Rs. 5,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority.

Office shall ensure that all the defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time provided hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
