The petitioner prays for grant of anticipatory bail in Bahadurpur (Fekla O.P.) P.S. Case No. 234 of 2016 registered under sections 341, 323, 324, 120(B), 379/34 of Indian Penal Code.

On the plea of going to morning walk, it is stated that informant was taken along by the petitioner and assaulted with knife on the head. Thereafter, the petitioner again tried to assault the informant which was warded off. Another co-accused robbed him of the cash.

Contention of the petitioner is that no one has seen the occurrence. Out of animosity, the petitioner has been named. It appears from the bail application that the informant did receive

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47878 of 2016 (2) dt.02-12-2016 2/2 injury which corroborates the prosecution case. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to privilege the petitioner with anticipatory bail. Prayer is rejected.
