The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Hajipur Nagar P.S. Case No. 292 of 2016 registered under Sections 341, 323, 407, 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The allegation against the petitioner is of cruelty and torture for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner, who happens to be mother-in-law of the complainant, has falsely been implicated in this case.
