27-10-2021 Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Earlier, the bail petition of petitioner was rejected, vide order dated 24.02.2021 passed in Cr.Misc.No. 40715 /2020. On last occasion, vide order dated 15.09.2021, a report with regard to stage of the trial was called for, which has been received and kept at flag 'A'. From perusal of the same, it appears that the case is still pending on the point of charge. Considering the nature of allegation and stage of the trial, the bail petition of petitioner is rejected. However, since the petitioner is in custody since 23.05.2020, the learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a period of twelve months, failing which, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
