The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Hathauri P.S. Case No. 28 of 2022, dated 24.01.2022, instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307, 332, 336, 353, 427 and 504 of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.46528 of 2022(2) dt.28-11-2022 2/3 the Indian Penal Code.

One Manish Kumar was arrested in connection with a case involving breach of Excise law in Bihar which triggered a protest against the police party. The police station was picketed and the miscreants resorted to brick-bats.

Though the petitioner is named in the F.I.R., but it is only on the basis of the statement given by the local Chawkidar, who has definite axe to grind against him.

Be that as it may, considering the general nature of allegation against the petitioner and his period of custody which is from 22.05.2022, the petitioner, namely, Shashi Bhushan Sharma @ Shashi Bhushan Kumar @ Chulbul, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Addl. District Judge-I, Muzaffarpur in connection with Hathauri P.S.
