2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Baisi P.S. Case No. 245 of 2023 registered for the offence under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner was extorting money from truck drivers.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 19.06.2023 and no money has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

5. He further submits that the petitioner was posted

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44599 of 2023(2) dt.26-07-2023 2/2 as Home Guard on the check post.

6. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

7. Considering the aforesaid facts, this application for regular bail is allowed.

8. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I Bhagalpur-cum-Special Judge Vigilance, Bhagalpur/concerned Court below in connection with Baisi P.S.
