In the instant application filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner seeks quashing of the first information report in connection with Dhaka P.S. Case No. 173 of 2011 dated 16.09.2011 registered under Sections 406, 409 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegations made in the FIR do constitute a cognizable offence.
