Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Mehsi P.S. Case No. 246 of 2020 registered for the offence punishable under sections 341, 323, 498A, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged in the first information report and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner never demanded any dowry. As a matter of fact, the informant was never interested in living with this petitioner as she was had

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.57267 of 2021(2) dt.17-05-2022 2/2 relation with another boy. The petitioner had filed Divorce Case No. 52 of 2020 much prior to the filing of the present first information report as is evident from Annexure-3. Petitioner is a man of clean antecedent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing personal bond to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari in connection with Mehsi P.S. Case No. 246 of 2020 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
