2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief(s):

"(i) for directing and commanding the respondents to dispose of Rent Fixation case no. 26/2022-23 filed by the petitioner, "Chetan Anand vs. The State of Bihar", as early as possible, which is pending for disposal since 2022, before respondent no.- 4, Circle Officer, Mushahari, Muzaffarpur.

(ii) and also for any other relief relieves for

2/4 which petitioner is found to be legally entitled under the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. The details of the land stand incorporated in paragraph no.5 and read as under:

4. The petitioner preferred Rent Fixation Case No.26/2022-23 before the Circle Officer, Mushahri, Muzaffarpur which went up to the Deputy Collector Land

3/4 Reforms, Muzaffarpur East who vide order dated 02.03.2024 returned it to the Circle Officer, Mushahri for taking further action in the light of notification letter no.9/Sai-Lagan-03/20222979(9), Patna dated 09.10.2023.

5. The aforesaid letter clearly show that it is the Circle Officer who has to make data entry so that the file goes to the office of the Additional Collector of the district. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner submitting that the respondent no.4, the Circle Officer, Mushahri, Muzaffarpur is sitting over the matter since then.

6. Learned State counsel submits that if it has not been concluded, the necessary recommendation/date entry will be made by the Circle Officer, Mushahri, Muzaffarpur immediately.

Having heard the parties, this Court has taken note of the memo. no. 492 (9A) dated 05.03.2025 issued by the Deputy Director, Bihar Survey Office, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Bihar, Patna and addressed to the Circle Officer, Bettiah Sadar, West Champaran, in which it has been recorded that in case of any order passed by the superior courts, it has to be complied in seven days.

8. As recorded, the Circle Officer, Mushahri,

4/4 Muzaffarpur has taken years instead of complying in seven days. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.4, the Circle Officer, Mushahari, Muzaffarpur to immediately act on the order dated 02.03.2024 passed by the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Muzaffarpur East in Rent Fixation Case No.26 of 2022-23 if still not done within time limit granted to him/her in view of the communication of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Bihar, Patna which fixed it as seven days.

9. The order has been passed in the presence of learned State counsel who undertakes that the information shall be sent to the concerned Circle Officer immediately.

10. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
