20-02-2020 Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner, who is husband of opposite party no. 2, apprehends his arrest in Complaint Case No. C-1387 of 2018 registered for the offence under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. In view of specific allegation against the petitioner of demand of dowry coupled with torture as well as the fact that petitioner is not ready to pay maintenance to opposite party no. 2, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail. The prayer for anticipatory bail stands rejected. The interim order dated 11-07-2019 stands vacated. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J.) anay U T
